From Father Richard's Desk
20-12-2013, 16:49WitnessPermalinkDear Brothers & Sisters,
Prince Charles has been speaking up for Christians experiencing persecution in those countries which were at one time the cradle of Christianity. Iraq, Iran, Syria. There is a terrible situation vis a vis Christians in Pakistan and Northern Nigeria. Our slaying of the Christ child may not be so brutal; but the Christ could die in our own country because of our neglect to nurture Him in our lives. May the Prince of Peace appeal to your better self to give Him a home in your thoughts, your hearts and your prayers.

We should have great expectations of our God. Our God is coming. He is coming into our world. He is coming to live among us, to help us to accomplish what we cannot do for ourselves. O tear the heavens and come down. Come Lord Jesus come.

06-12-2013, 16:04WitnessPermalinkDear Brothers & Sisters,
John the Baptist invites the people of his time to a renewed personal encounter with God. He urges them to ‘repent’, to make room in their lives for the voice of God.
In Pope Francis Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, he says “I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them.” What a wonderful message for us.
“Let Jesus meet you. Do not be afraid.”
Yours,
Fr. Richard
